Rogier van Reekum is an assistant professor in Sociology at Erasmus University Rotterdam. His work is concerned with the politics of migration, borders, public controversies and fascism. Together with Willem Schinkel he published Theorie van de Kraal: kapitaal, ras, fascisme. More recently, he published Out of Character: Debating Dutchness, narrating citizenship on the politics of Dutch citizenship since 1970's.
